The
Church of St. George in Prodanesti was built in 1732, according to historical
records. This small church measures 8.3 x 3.4 meters and consists of a
rectangular space with the pronaos and naos and a smaller rectangular chamber
to house the altar. The roof of the church stands at 5.2 meters, while the
steeple rises to a height of 13.2 meters. No decoration remains on the exterior
and there is no porch. The elements sustaining the roof are stepped with rounded
edges. The stone foundation, several beams of the walls and much of the roof
were restored in 2003.
